About KD Edenfield
I'm KD Edenfield, the broker and owner of Wellhouse Real Estate in Orange Beach, Alabama. I've sold real estate here for 5 years. Most of my clients are buying from out of town, either to move here or to buy a second home.
How did a football coach end up selling houses?
I played football at Troy University. Then I coached at Troy and at the University of South Alabama. Coaching taught me how to prepare people, plan the details, and stay calm when things go sideways. In 2021, my family and I moved from Mobile to Orange Beach. Our son was 6 months old. I got out of coaching and into real estate.
Why do I care so much about the move itself?
When we moved down here, we didn't know many people. My wife grew up in Baldwin County, but for me it was all new. I learned the area the hard way: the vets, the doctors, the grocery stores, the parks, the restaurants. Now I hand that to my clients so they don't have to start from scratch. My goal is simple. I want you to feel like you grew up here.
What should you know about how I work?
I spent years coaching and teaching. Now I coach people through one of the biggest moves of their lives. I prepare you before every trip so a short visit isn't wasted. I tell you what's good about a house and what's not. And I stay in touch after closing, with my go-to list of local pros and favorite spots.
Life outside work
My wife and I have been married about 10 years. We have a 6-year-old son and a 1-year-old bernedoodle named Spaghetti. I help coach middle school football in Gulf Shores, and I coach my son's rec sports teams. When we're not at a game, you'll find us at the beach, trying a restaurant, or hanging out with friends. I love playing golf, even though I'm not very good at it.
